Happy holidays from Campus Manitoba!

All of us at Campus Manitoba would like to wish you a festive holiday season and a happy new year in 2017.

Campus Manitoba will be closed for the winter holidays from December 23rd to January 3rd. Any messages to our Virtual Help Desk will be reviewed on January 3rd, including submissions through eCourses and Set Your Course contact forms. Our staff will be available when we return on January 3rd.

If you would like to leave a voice message, please call our main office by using 204-727-9668. You should also contact us by email to make sure we can return your call.

In the meantime, here is a rundown of what we offer students and faculty. You can check out online courses, open textbooks, and career pathways on our websites below.

Browse online courses on eCourses MB

eCourses Manitoba provides centralized access to online courses from Manitoba’s universities and colleges. It is a new and improved website to help all post-secondary students in Manitoba take advantage of flexible learning through online education.

eCourses supports students who take courses for degree or diploma credit at Campus Manitoba’s seven partner institutions: Assiniboine Community College, Brandon University, Red River College, The University of Winnipeg, Université de Saint Boniface, University College of the North, and University of Manitoba. Students from these institutions can use eCourses to save up to $150 on fees they would normally pay to register for courses at other institutions.

The website also features courses for professional development and continuing education. We’ve partnered with the University of Winnipeg’s PACE (Professional, Applied, and Continuing Education) and the University of Manitoba’s Extended Education to add these learning opportunities to eCourses.

Since 2015, Campus Manitoba has been raising awareness of open educational resources in Manitoba. Our efforts to promote open educational resources at universities and colleges in Manitoba has continued under a new name and a new website, OpenEd MB. We support the use of open textbooks in Manitoba classrooms through outreach and by funding reviews. We also work with  BCcampus and the Canada OER Group to stay current with OER initiatives across Canada.

If you or your institution would like to get involved in open education, visit OpenEd MB and get in touch with us at open@campusmanitoba.ca. All of our promotional materials and resources are available online.
