Campus Manitoba’s partner universities and colleges will be hosting a variety of open houses throughout February. An open house is a great way for new students to experience campus for the first time. Transfer students can also take part in open houses to get a glimpse of student life at different campuses in Manitoba.
Surveys of students across North America show that campus visits are one of the most important factors for making decisions about post-secondary education. A hands-on look can help you determine how suitable the campus and academic programs are for your life and academic goals.
Why attend an open house?
Open houses are a valuable opportunity for incoming students to experience a day in the life of a post-secondary student. By visiting campus, you’ll get a tour of the facilities and opportunities to connect with other students. Most open houses also allow you to experience an actual lecture or a workshop in a post-secondary classroom! You’ll learn about services available for students and hear from student leaders who are familiar with the institution.
A key to success in university or college is to immerse yourself in a new environment that challenges you to think and learn in unexpected ways. This is a great first step in a successful post-secondary experience.
Most of these events require registration, so be sure to click the links for more details and how to register.
